Barry J. Hutchison

Born and raised in the Highlands of Scotland, Barry wanted to be an author from the age of nine. It took him a while, but he finally had his first books published by HarperCollins in 2010, and has gone on to write over 120 books for a variety of publishers.

Barry founded Zertex Media in order to publish his own science fiction comedy series, Space Team. The series has gone on to sell hundreds of thousands of copies worldwide, and led to the Dan Deadman Space Detective spin-off series, as well as a range of merchandise and an upcoming comic book.

Jessica Burnley

Books: The Lachart Isle Series

Jessica Burnley is the newest addition to the Zertex Media stable of writers, and has already had readers laughing out loud at her ‘Lachart Isle’ romantic comedy series, of which two books have currently been published.

A third Lachart Isle novel will be published in 2023, rounding out the trilogy. We can’t wait to take a journey back to the ruggedly romantic island off the West Coast of Scotland to find out what Jessica’s characters have been up to since we last met them.

Jessica lives in the West of Scotland, where she enjoys exploring the hills and glens with her dog, and regularly tripping over her cat.
