In January 2024, we were proud to re-release Deadline, book one in the popular 1950s Thane & Moss series by the late Scottish crime fiction author, Bill Knox, with a brand new foreword by JD Kirk.
These editions have been republished for fans old and new alike, with a new book releasing each month during 2024.
The response to the re-release of the books has been incredibly positive, bringing Bill Knox a new generation of fans some 25 years after his death.
Bill’s family, who now look after the late author’s estate, “are thrilled at the prospect of the revival of our father’s books into which he put so much of his time and effort.”
There has also been supportive interviews, reviews and press, including the BBC, Scottish Field, The Scotsman and The Sunday Post.
On 30th July, we’ll be releasing the sixth book in the Thane & Moss series, The Man in the Bottle. A pulse-pounding 1960s crime thriller, it showcases Bill Knox’s mastery of Tartan Noir. Glasgow-based detectives Thane and Moss are caught up in one of their most puzzling cases yet, involving political secrets, a tangled web of intrigue, and fugitive out for revenge.
If you’re a crime reader and haven’t yet discovered Thane & Moss, then now’s the perfect chance to start these brilliant books from the grandfather of Scottish crime fiction.
